The liberation of Palestine & the role of the Arab working class (Anne Alexander, Hossam el-Hamalawy)

The liberation of Palestine & the role of the Arab working class (Anne Alexander, Hossam el-Hamalawy)

The Palestinian resistance against the ongoing genocide and occupation has been a source of inspiration, despite brutal repression they are still able to resist using all means at their disposal. Regimes in the region have once again clearly shown their allegiance to the zionist entity. The wave of solidarity protests that have erupted in the region have been impressive and have great significance. In this meeting we will discuss questions such as: What position does the occupation of Palestine hold in the region? What lessons can we draw from the wave of Arab revolutions that erupted over a decade ago? What is the perspective now?

Speakers: Hossam el-Hamalawy is an Egyptian journalist and photographer, currently based in Germany. He's been involved in organizing the 2011 uprising, and a longtime member with the Egyptian Revolutionary Socialists. Anne Alexander is co-author of Bread, Freedom, Social Justice: Workers and the Egyptian Revolution, co-editor of Middle East Solidarity magazine and a member of the Socialist Workers Party (UK)
