Mass demonstrations against the AFD - Lessons from the fight against fascism in Germany

In March, a significant wave of demonstrations swept across Germany, mobilising millions against the far right. This surge of protest was triggered by revelations of a clandestine meeting between the AFD and hard-right neo-Nazis, where plans to deport millions based on ethnicity and religion were discussed. However, these demonstrations, despite their size, faced critical limitations: they were organised with conservative groups on tenuous political grounds and notably held anti-Palestine stances. Comrade Ramsy Kilani from our German sister organisation, Sozialismus von Unten, will discuss how Marxists should engage with such protests and strategize to build effective resistance against the far right.

This meeting will take place in English, translation to Dutch is possible upon request.

Speaker: Ramsis Kilani is a revolutionary socialist of German-Palestinian descent. He has been active against in the struggle against the repression of Palestine solidarity in Germany for more than ten years.
